Ascending from the Mount of Olives

The Church of the Sepulchre of Saint Mary (also known as the Tomb of the Virgin Mary) is a Christian church built around an ancient Jewish rock-cut tomb in the Kidron Valley at the foot of Mount of Olives, in East Jerusalem. The Church is believed by Eastern Christians to be the burial place of Mary. The Mount of Olives is where, according to Christian teaching, Christ ascended body and soul into heaven.
